WASTE MANAGEMENT

A selective waste sorting system is in place at the port of Roanne. Discarding anything into the water or on the quays is PROHIBITED. Dumping rubbish (plastics, household waste etc.) is a physical and aesthetic assault on the natural environment.

 WASTE REDUCTION AND SORTING

• Prioritise products with less packaging.
• Do not discard waste or used oil in the water – use the appropriate bins.
• Use waste sorting containers appropriately.
• Use the appropriate collection points for batteries and other hazardous waste (acids, paints, solvents, filters, soiled tanks, soiled rags etc.) and take care not to spill hazardous products on the ground.
• Do not leave light objects on the pontoons, as they could fall into the water.
• Encourage others to sort their waste.
